The three seasons of ancient Egypt

The first season in ancient Egypt was Aket, marked the period between, June and September that is when the huge river Nile flooded and made a land of rich, black soil. It was followed by Peret lasting from October to February , during which plants were planted and grown.The last season of ancient Egypt calendar was Shemu,which marked the harvest period between March and May.
