What a fabulous afternoon of storytelling and book activities to end the spring term. Children, with their families, got stuck into quizzes, competitions and games focused on our family reading challenge. The handwriting competition had winners in all year groups. It was great to see everyone enjoying the family reading books that have gone home this term: James and the Giant Peach, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, The Cat in The Hat, Flat Stanley, A Series of Unfortunate Events. The afternoon ended with a lovely reading of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by our charismatic storyteller Merv Rudge – a wonderful launch into Easter!
