from Van Gogh to weaving fabric

Year 2 have been learning about the post-impressionist painting, ‘The Sunflowers’. It was painted by Vincent Van Gogh. We have been practicing the techniques that he used by using lots of shades of yellow and thicker paint overlaying thinner paint.

We will be producing some finished paintings in the next few weeks.

We have also been weaving as part of a project looking at textile artists’ work. Raphael and Noah have produced some lovely, woven fabric.
