Voluntary Position: Co-opted Governor
The Governing Body of Nailsworth Primary school is looking for a new Co-opted Member to join the board. We are especially keen for anyone who has some experience/interest in school funding and value for money, as well as a desire to get involved in school life.
Governors meet at regular intervals over the year as a full board, and we have two committees which focus on different aspects of the school:
- The Resources Committee mainly looks at finance, estate management and health and safety.
- The Standards Committee looks at the quality of teaching and pupil progress, as well as Ofsted preparation.
We meet on Tuesdays at 5pm.
We would love to hear from any interested person who feels they have something to contribute to our great and thriving school.
Additionally, the current Chair of Governors, having served for six years, is looking to stand down after the next Ofsted inspection which will likely be in a year to 18 months time. So, anyone who is keen to get involved, please get in touch in the first instance, with Gill Saville, Chair of Governors:
