On 10th June, children in Years 3 and 4 travelled down to Bristol Zoo as part of their ‘Darwin’s Chest‘ theme. Pupils took part in a great classroom session, with Amy, finding out what animals need, why they live in certain habitats and how they adapt. And then it was time for the hands-on session… who was brave enough to hold a cockroach, a corn snake and a rat?! After the excitement (and hopefully some hand washing?), they planned what they’d like to see around the zoo, divided into groups, used their maps and went exploring. A fascinating day!
