School Secretary

Grade 4, 35 hours per week + INSETs

8:30am – 4pm (30 minutes lunch break)

Permanent Contract

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, professional and personable School Secretary & Attendance Officer to join our dedicated team. This is a key role within the school, acting as the first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors, and ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the school office.

The successful candidate will combine excellent administrative and organisational skills with a warm, welcoming manner. They will need to be adaptable, able to prioritise effectively in a busy environment, and committed to maintaining high standards in all aspects of their work.

A significant aspect of the role involves monitoring and supporting pupil attendance. The postholder will work closely with senior leaders to ensure attendance procedures are followed, records are accurate and up to date, and appropriate action is taken where concerns arise.

Experience of working in an office environment is essential; experience in a school setting and knowledge of school systems would be desirable.
