This week is science week!
In the afternoons, we are completing investigations and learning about ‘States of Matter.’
Today, we made jelly! We were investigating what happens to the particles when they change from solid to liquid.
We learnt that when adding boiling water to the jelly cubes (solid) that the particles start to move faster and faster. If enough heat is applied, the particles will have enough energy to move about and move over and around each other. At this point, the solid has melted to form a liquid.
Tomorrow, we look forward to seeing what happens next, including eating our fabulous jelly…!
