Year 4 Harvest Festival

On Thursday 18th October the school made their way to St George’s Church in Nailsworth for Year 4’s assembly on Harvest.  Everyone was in good spirits as the weather was good and not raining! Year 4 acted out a great story from the Bible called the Widows Offering. Ellie, Palko and Cameron read a beautiful harvest poem. The children spoke about how people are generous to them, not just with money but with time and love.

As a school we have been collecting food for the local food bank; we recognise that we are very fortunate and can help others who are in need. We learnt that one food parcel can feed a family for 3 days.  A big focus of the service was also looking at what food is harvested at this time of year, all around the world.

The service was amazing and Year 4 did so well!

Well done to Miss Cullimore and Mrs Ostle for putting on a great service.

Well done to the rest of the school for behaving so well and singing very loudly!
