Music Lessons

We are really proud of the success enjoyed by our children who learn to play musical instruments. All children are encouraged to take up a musical hobby, because learning to play an instrument can be both fun and rewarding – and even improve performance in other subjects.

Music lessons are organised on a private tuition agreement basis between parents/carers and the individual tutors; the tutors are organised by the school. We can currently offer:

Piano, Woodwind (Clarinet, Oboe, Saxophone), Guitar, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Drum lessons and hopefully soon Brass, if enough pupils are interested.

GUITAR lessons are with Mr Richard Tuttle

STRING lessons are with Mr Richard Fitton-Perkins

PIANO & WOODWIND lessons are with Ms Ellie Toseland

DRUM lessons are with Mr Eddie Evans

There are 30 lessons per academic year, with approximately 10 lessons per term, depending on the term length. Tutors will invoice for 10 lessons per term. Families who receive Pupil Premium funding may use it towards the cost.

Gloucestershire Music Service provide instruments available for hire at very reasonable costs (from between £13.70 to £26.90 per term) and bursaries are available for the instrument hire.  Please request a hire form from the school office, or see www.gloucestershiremusic.co.uk for further information.

Please ask at the School Office for more information and prices.

Together we rise, we learn, we love, abundantly.
